| With the increasingly serious problem of global greenhouse gas, reducing carbondioxide emissions and slowing down climate change have become the focus of theinternational community today. The development of low-carbon economy is aresponse to global warming, and the urgent need to achieve sustainable development.Carbon capture and storage is an emerging low-carbon technology, which caneffectively reduce greenhouse gas emissions while don’t have to reduce the use offossil fuels. Thus grasping the development process and trend of carbon capture andstorage technology have important significance to enterprise R&D investment and thedevelopment of low carbon technology related industries.FCNP algorithm is used for the study of carbon capture and storage developmentpaths which is an improvement of Changwoo Choi’s algorithm for patentdevelopment paths. This study identifies five main carbon capture and storagetechnology development paths from a complex network of patent citations, they’remainly about cryogenic distillation. The future trends of carbon capture and storageare the improvement of chemical absorption method and the production of pureoxygen. In order to futher analyze the reasons for the formation of development paths,carbon capture and storage sectional view in different development stages are mapped.By analyzing, we concluded that technology development paths are closely related tospecified period of organization behavior and national policy.Through the study of development paths of carbon capture and storage, it canidentify the important technical aspects of the technology and the main techniques inthis part.On this basis, through the combination of literature and patents, a detailedanalysis for the technical material of this aspect is carried out. It will help tounderstand the hot topics and trends.China’s energy structure which is dominated by coal leads to large andcontinuously growing carbon dioxide emissions. Thus we’re facing severe pressure toreduce emissions.Carbon capture and storage technology will likely become animportant strategic technology choice to reduce carbon dioxide emissions and ensureenergy security in the future. So a comprehensive analysis of the carbon capture andstorage in China is conducted with SWOT analysis method, using patents in Chinaintellectual property database and related articles as data source. By analyzing the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats, combining with the hot topics andfuture trends, suggestions for China’s development of carbon capture and storage areput forward. |
