Linde And Lurgi Rectisol Process In The Coal To Methanol Project Application Analysis And Existing Problem Solving

Rectisol is an energy-efficient and reliable acid gas purification process with thecharacteristics of strong absorptivity, good selectivity, high purification and low operatingcosts. It can remove many impurities such as H₂S,COS,CS₂,RSR,C₄H₄S,CO₂,HCN,NH₃,aromatic hydrocarbons、crude gasoline and others from gas under the low temperature condition of-30℃to-70℃. It also can remove water from the gas at the same time toobtain the dry gas. Those useful components absorbed can be regenerated and reused through some facile processes. It can be applied to pressurized gasification of coke oven gas, Lurgi gas and Texaco gas in which it contains more impurities. The process hasa wide application prospects and a promising future in China.The characteristics of Rectisol process for250,000tons/year of methanol and600,000tons/year methanol Linde and Lurgi in our company （SNCC） were investigated inthis work. The two kinds of rectisol process, Linde and Lurgi, were compared witheach other from technical and consumption aspects. The results show that BothLinde Rectisol and Lurgi Rectisol are safe and secured and have their own specific adv-antages. Problems in the operation of Rectisol devices in our company were summarizedandtheir solutions were also developed.
