With the growing economy and the development of industry, the environmental problem is becoming more and more serious, especially the main contributor of climate change—the greenhouse gases emitted by activities of human. The flue gas from power plant is a concentrated emission source which is also the most important part of emission control. Chemical absoption is a main method to capture the CO2in flue gas, while the limit is the existence of gas-liquid mass transfer resistence. Research shows that fine particles have enhancing effect on gas-liquid mass transfer in the process of gas absorption.This thesis mainly studied the enhancing effect of powder activated carbon, fine glassball, and nano SiO2-The influence of different solid concentration, different kinds of particles and different CO2loading in the solution on the enhancement effect were studied. The experiments were conducted in both the stirred tank and the plate falling film reactor. The experiments in the stirred tank show the regular pattern of enchancing effect of activated catbon. In the beginning of the absorption is enchanced while the later part of the absorption is weakened. That also means the particles can accerate the saturation of the solutions.Experiments in the self-designed plate falling film reactor were also conducted. The experiment result shows the increase of enhancement factor with the increase of solid concentration. When the solid concentration is up to0.1g/L, the enhancing factor becomes constant. According to the study on different titration result, the absorption ratio of CO2decreases linnarly to the CO2loading in the solutions. The initial absorption rate is high when adding particles, while the speed changing rate is almost constant with different solid concentrations.At the end of this thesis, a mathematic model was built according to the shuttle mechanism to describe the enhance effect of porous solid particles in the plate falling film reactor.
