| In the rectangular bloom continuous casting process, the fluid flow in the mold has agreat influence on slag melting conditions and heat transfer, it also has something withmany surface and internal quality problems such as segregation, cockle and crack. Thesuitable flow behavior of steel liquid helps to the inclusion floating. The suitabletemperature field does good to the improvement of heat transfer in the mould, as well asinner quality. Thus, this work has great a significance to improve the quality of product.There are some quality problems such as poor cleanliness, peeling, pit and so on,when produce rectangular bloom with a section size for150mm×330mm due to ordinaryprocessing, lacking in equipment. Meanwhile, liquid steel is delivered to continuouscaster directly after deoxidation alloying and ladle argon blowing. According to actualcircumstance of Tangshan Guofeng Steel Company, the three-dimensional mathematicalmodel which coupled the molten steel flow with heat transfer is established by adoptingthe simulation software FLUENT. Systematic are study the effect immersion depth,under the conditions of different technological parameters such as casting speed,submergence depth. Influence of different nozzle parameters on flow field in mould isstudied by mould flow field physical simulation experiment.The results show that: the surface flow velocity have a maximum level when theimmersion depth is120mm and the liquid level is relatively stable. When the immersiondepth is less than120mm, the liquid level fluctuation is big, which is easy to cause theslag. When the drawing speed is1.0m·min-1and the outlet angle is25°, the liquid levelfluctuation of mold is the minimum. In order to further improve the drawing speed, it isappropriate to adopt angle whose dip is30°. The optimum nozzle parameter should be theshape of the racetrack, and the single hole exit area is8.5cm2, the side opening angle is25°, the immersion depth of nozzle is120mm, the suitable drawing speed is1.0m·min-1.The results not only provide a favorable theoretical basis to the actual production,but also provide a important significance to optimize SEN. |
