Juice wastewater is a major source of the dystrophication in the Weihe River. Ithas strong viscosity, low pH, high COD and high SS. If it is discharged directly intowater without treated, it will lead to a large number of accumulations of organic acidsin surrounding water. Then it will make serious deterioration of water environmentand threat to human health and related industrial development. So finding a feasiblewastewater treatment technology has become a current problem of the environmentalprotection field in Shaanxi Province.Through widely looking up relevant information, perusing wastewater treatmentof the latest research achievements, combining the conditions of juice wastewatertreatment process status of Shaanxi Province,and analyzing problems of practicalprocess. It is proposed that using EGSB-SBR combined process reactor to treat juicewastewater. The paper mainly studied the part of anaerobic technology. The start-upand operation and the microbial diversity in sludge of EGSB reactor is researched.①Program about fast startup of EGSB reactor one of the focuses of this study soas to adapt to seasonal characteristics of juice wastewater. Two programs wereconducted to research the startability of EGSB startup processes. In the enable stage,glucose is inlet. During the low organic loading process, the influent CODconcentration is530mg/L. After174day, COD volumetric loading rate was up to13.69kgCOD/(m3·d). But it takes quite a long time. During the high organic loadingprocess, after only16day, the COD removal efficiency of EGSB reactor could reach91.7%with COD volumetric loading rate up to10.95kgCOD/(m3·d), influent CODconcentration6123mg/L. Then, enable stage of reactor is finished. The results revealthat high organic loading rate is the key to startup of reactor.②By increasing the ratio of juice wastewater reactor acclimation experiments,After23days the influent COD is4500mg/L, Volumetric loading is4.02kgCOD/(m3d),effluent COD,BOD5, SS are achieve the B standard in ShaanxiProvince.EGSB reacter was kept running in a steady state after the juice wastwatertreatment phase by regulating influent alkalinity and adjusting reflux ratio.The resultshowed that even no need to add alkalinity under conditions of stable operation,refluxratio was kept at3,it was also in good running condition. The study of the bestcontrol conditions would reduce the cost of treatment,and there was a strong practicalapplicability off the engineering project.③Traditional method of researching on the operation is based on COD removal,gas production, sludge particle size and the methanogenic activity to measure the anaerobic wastewater treatment reactor effect. Modern molecular biology technique isan efficient way to study characteristics of granular sludge and composition ofmicrobial variation which lay a biological basis for reactor applications. It is of greathelp for formation mechanism to improve the handling capacity of the reactor. Theestablishment of microbial granular sludge DNA extraction method, PCR-DGGE isused to analyze bacterial diversity of the granular sludge. The bacteria of granularsludge can be divided into anaerobic ammonium oxidizing bacteria, hydrolysisfermentation bacteria, and the same type of acid production bacteria andsulfate-reducing bacteria four categories, which accounted for19.59%,43.44%,22.48%and14.31%of total bacteria.
