Organic photochromic compounds with sensitive color changing property andbright color had extensive application prospect in textile and packaging. But thesecompounds were susceptible to be affected by oxygen, pH value, light, temperatureand other enviromental factors, which led to oxidation, influenced performance andrestrict applications. In this thesis, photochromic compounds and polymer were inte-grated to improve abilities of fatigue resistance and oxidation resistance and prolongservice life. Applications in textile and coating were also studied.In this thesis, photochromic microcapsules were prepared via in-situ polymer-rization, and solution of photochromic compound and DOP, melamine resin were usedas core, wall materials, respectively. It would reach absorbance maximum value whenquality fraction of photochromic compound was2%tested by UV. Influencing factorsto surface morphology and size distribution of photochromic microcapsule, such asmixing speed, emulsifying time, mass ratio of core materials/wall materials andacidification time were discussed in detail. Wall thickness of photochromicmicrocapsules was calculated to be1.4-2.6μm by secondary focusing method. Testdata indicated that photochromic microcapsule with sensitive color changing propertyand average size less than5μm could endure continuous UV for75h, when stirringrate, emulsification time, mass ratio of core materials/wall materials and acidificationtime were1000rpm,5min,1:1and0.5h, respectively.Uncross-linked photochromic PS microsphere with size less than1μm andcross-linked photochromic PS microsphere with size less than2μm were prepared viaemulsion polymerization. Influence of two kinds of initiators KPS and AIBN, reactiontemperature on the performance of photochromic microsphere were discussed indetail. Results showed that uncross-linked and cross-linked photochromic PSmicrosphere synthetized had sensitive color changing property and high fatigueresistance, when initatior, emulsification time, reaction temperature were AIBN,5min,60℃and warming at later period of polymerization.Loading performance of photochromic microcapsule in field of textile andphotochromic composite materials in field of nail polish and phone shell were studied.Result showed that both of them had great photochromism with bright color and highfatigue resistance. |
