The area is located in the south Qilian fold belt of the Qaidam-Qilian blocks, and it is a major metallogenic belt of Gansu Province, and that the area has a low level of geological work, therefore, the area is worth to do geological prospecting work.The folding in the area is strong and most of it formed a closed linear. It extends great scale in NW-NWW direction and appears in groups with compression fracture which associated with the parallel folds. The folding is strong squeezing and twisting. And it is common to see tensile and shear fracture which is orthogonal with alignment. On the structural evolution it mainly experienced the early Caledonian uplift stage, the middle Caledonian of south Qilian rift trough formation stage, the late Caledonian collisional orogeny stage, the Hercynian intercontinental orogeny stage and the Himalayan Neotectonism stage. It built all kinds of geological bodies of different age and structure properties. Through the collection of1:50000stream sediment samples and content of17detection elements, using Mapgis charting and GeoIPAS data processing, it delineates52comprehensive anomalies among which have fifteen comprehensive anomalies that related to anomalies with copper zinc cobalt nickel manganese and silver, eight comprehensive anomalies that related to anomalies with gold arsenic and antimony, ten comprehensive anomalies that related to anomalies with lead zinc silver and cadmium, eight comprehensive anomalies that related to molybdenum, eleven other scattered comprehensive anomalies. According to the anomaly verification, we found4mineralized spots. And we analyzed the geological background and metallogenic conditions of these spots. On the base of ore-forming geological conditions analysis and the comprehensive study of discovered mineral data, the study region is divided into5metallogenic prospect areas:the gold, copper, nickel and cobalt polymetallic mineralization prospects in Bie-yi-te-sha-yi area, the gold, silver, lead and zinc polymetallic mineralization prospects in two springs area, the copper and molybdenum polymetallic mineralization prospects in Te-ke-sha-yi area, the gold polymetallic mineralization prospects in Xiao-ha-er-teng-da-ban area and the gold, silver, copper, zinc polymetallic mineralization prospects in Ke-ke-ta-si-ta-ke area. The study region can be further divided into four primary target areas and six secondary target areas.
