Renewable energy has been given a good deal of attention with the development of the world such as population growth, increasing energy demand, exhausted conventional energy resources, pollution of the environment and so on. Moreover, the exploitation of the new energy form must coincide with the concept of the sustainable development and be nonpolluting and low-cost. As a inexhaustible, clean, renewable energy, wave energy’s development and utilization can ease the shortage of conventional energy and can also reduce greenhouse gas emissions. It is believed that the wave energy conversion technology its prospective can play a important role in the near future.In the abundant renewable energy such as solar, wind, biomass and wave energy, it is only the wave energy can reach the value of the total power of2×108kW. In China, nearly20kM coastline, also have the1599.52X104kW wave energy. In different wave energy utilization technologies, this paper selected Pendulum wave energy utilization device for researching. Pendulum wave energy utilization device is through the use of wave interaction with the swing plate,and making the wobble plate to swing around, so that the wave energy is converted to kinetic energy of the swing plate’s mechanical energy, so the wave energy can be used.To be able to accurately simulate both the dynamic characteristics of the swing plate in waves, you must first make a numerical tank, that accurate simulation of wave motion. This paper is based on Flow3D to established numerical tank. By using the Speed entry method and transform the space step clipping method successfully constructed two-dimensional and three-dimensional numerical wave tank and simulated Stokes wave.In the three-dimensional numerical wave tank, the swing plate for densities as650kG/m3,700kG/m3and kG/m3do numerical simulation in the wave of wave height of0.7m and0.5m, for analysising the change of dynamic characteristics. With increasing density of the swing plate, the angular velocity of the swing plate is reduced, the swing plate motion torque increases, the efficiency of the wave energy captured by the swing plate is also increased.Research on when the wave height is0.5meter, the dynamic characteristics change for pendulum plate with different width interaction with wave. With the pendulum plate width increaseing, the plate’s angular velocity is similar, while the plate’s torque is increased. The power of the plate also increased. In the study of dynamic characteristics of plate with different heights and wave interactions, with the increase in the height of the plate, plate rotation angle and angular velocity are reduced. When the plate height is3.5meter, the pendulum plate capture wave energy reaches a maximum average power1.23kW, so3.5meter is the best plate height. And an analysis of the swing plate in the case of changes by a different modulus of elasticity of the force by the load. And the pendulum plate is analyzed under different elastic coefficient of load change.Research on the swing plate capture wave energy efficiency, The pendulum plate of wave energy of shaft power and the ratio of wave energy were studied.Conversion efficiency were obtained under a swing plate capture wave energy in different density and width.
