With the fast development of engineering in our country, the wide using of GPS positioning technology has greatly improved and upgraded the efficiency of surveying measurements;Compared with traditional methods,GPS positioning technology takes incomparable advantages, such as high efficiency, high precision, without the restriction of distance, providing continous (24hours/day) and highly automated in measuring and data processing,GPS positioning technology has provided a new highly accuracy measurement and consept for surveying.Control network optimization studies on problem which needs not only meets necessary precision, but also costs as little as possble, that is,it wants to take great economic under certain expenditure when data processing work is lowest.. Optimized design stands at the view of theory,it focuses on how to design datum, net shape, the precision of observation and so on, to achive optimization. The elevation of GPS is also an important aspect for practical application.Polynomial fitting of quadratic surface is the most common method in elevation of GPS,it considers changing smoothly within a certain range, using the method of polynomial fitting can calculate height anomaly and normal height of other points under this surface.the following aspects are implemented in this thesis:(1) Studying the basic theory and algorithms of kronecker and Khatri-Rao,by summarizing law,and approaching a more clear and concise method to calculate. This paper considers this method is more convenient and practical, improving the efficiency in linear programming, and reducing the work in programming.(2) Researching and analysising indicators and methods of Control network optimization, through certain mathematical methods, establishing linear model for Control network optimization, searching the optimal solution. In connection with different indicators, the paper lists on different results of optimization as the indicators change, for the sake of concluding the law,and the completions.(3) Within a certain range, approximating a quadratic surface by the abnormal height of GPS points which have surveyed, and then, calculate abnormal height of other points and error. According to results in this paper,we can conclude that, approximating a quadratic surface of the abnormal height must be well-distributed,thus it can be better control the surface,to avoid a more trend of upward or downward in error.
