The aeration zone infiltration capacity has important influence on groundwatercirculation and groundwater resource temporal spatial distribution in arid region. The Badan Jilin desert as the research object, the paper mainly study the aerationzone permeability ability and factor variation characteristics. The topic has theimportant practical significance. This paper collects related literature home and abroad, summarizes the researchadvances about the permeability coefficient of the measurement and calculation, determines the research target and technical route. The in situ infiltration test iscarried out on saturated hydraulic conductivity field work. The result shows thatthe soil surface saturated permeability coefficient is20-30m/d. The paper uses theTerzaghi, Kozeny, Slichter empirical formula fitting, on basis of the result of soilgrain composition. The results show that the Terzaghi model accords with the actual. The paper further get the soil water characteristic curve of soil sample, using thecentrifuge test, and get the key parameters of Van Genuchten-Mualem model. Thenbuild the relationship between the unsaturated permeability coefficient and the soilsuction. In addition, the variation of unsaturated soil permeability coefficient isanalysised in the paper, according to the results of soil water potential in differentdepth of field in long-term monitoring.
