With the rapid development of economy and society,it becomes a seriousproblem to how to deal with the relationships between all kinds of elements such asresources, environment, ecology, population, economy, society and building aharmonious development at present.To fully grasp the current situation of China’sgeographical situation, to meet the needs of economic and social development andecological civilization construction, the State Council issued a "first national censusgeographic conditions notice to carry out"(Guo Fa [2013]9No.)(hereinafter referredto as" notice ")on February28,2013,decided to launch the first national censusgeographic conditions in2013-2015.National census geography is a pioneering work,involving more content and strong specialty. Currently in China, there isn’t ready andperfect technical system, lacking mature work experience to the work of nationalcensus geography.With the continuous development of high-resolution satelliteremote sensing technology, the time resolution, spatial resolution and spectralresolution has been greatly improved, its applications are also being used more andmore widely. Therefore, the application of high resolution remote sensing images ofthe census geographical conditions has a very important significance.This paper combined with the task of national geographical census, for highresolution remote sensing image data in the application of geographic conditionscensus research, the main research results are as follows:(1)According to the definition and content requirements of the nationalgeographical census,summarized and refined the surface of natural factors and humangeography elements, including135classes for landform, vegetation, water, bare land,traffic network, residents, facilities and geographical unit.(2)In view of the main types and characteristics of high resolution remotesensing data,The paper proposed the technology methods and processes to productorthophoto map, including raw data preprocessing, ortho correction, multi-spectral and panchromatic data registration, data fusion, color adjustment, mosaic cutting, etc.(3)This paper discusses the principle and method of high resolution imageinformation extraction and the technical process, including image segmentation,computer automatic classification, artificial modification and editor, qualityinspection, etc. This paper mainly elaborates image segmentation scale selection ofthe high-resolution remote sensing data, the basic features acquisition of automaticclassification, information index construction and sample collection and othertechnique.(4)Select a region Ji’an City, Jiangxi Province of the test area, integratedapplication eCongnition which is object-oriented image analysis software, Geowayfor NC geographic conditions information extraction software, ARCGIS software forthe national census geographic information extraction work of surface coverage,comparing and evaluating the results between information extraction and artificialclassification in the area of difference degree and kind of comprehensive evaluation,then show that the feasibility of technology route.This article research results confirmed the high resolution remote sensing imagesin the geographical survey the status of the state of the union, puts forward a set ofgeographical conditions census information extraction technology route, for highresolution remote sensing image information extraction provides a feasible technicalbasis,and has guiding significance for geographical conditions sustainable monitoringwork in the future.
