| Neuron is a basic unit in the nervous system and signal transmission among neurons is much associated with action potential. The membrane potential of neuron is much associated with the difference of ion concentration inside and outside the cell membrane, and fluctuation occurs in membrane potentials when sodium, potassium, chloride and calcium pass through ion channels embedded in the membrane. This work is partially supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China under Grant No.11265008.A two-dimensional regular network of HH neurons is designed to study the evolution of traveling wave under spatial forcing currents on the network. The potential biological mechanism of pattern formation such as target wave, spiral wave, muti-armed spiral wave is investigated. Our main results are conclued as follows:1) Target wave can be induced to occupy the network when appropriate external forcing currents with diversity are imposed on the network of neurons, these target waves can developed to form spiral wave due to block from artifical defects.2) Multi-armed spiral wave can be induced to occupy the network when appropriate forcing currents with diversity are imposed and carefully selecting the excitability of media and the potential mechanism is discussed. These mentioned results could be helpful to shed light on collective behaviors of neurons in cortex of brain. |
