During the aircraft design, it is significant for the vibration reduction research to guarantee working accuracy and reliability of the equipment. Viscoelastic damping sandwich structures are widely used because of its light quality, high specific strength, high specific stiffness, vibration and noise reduction, etc. At present, the vibration research of viscoelastic sandwich rectangle plate is more common, however, the vibration research of viscoelastic sandwich circular plate considering the effect of centrifugal force is seldom. The transverse vibration of the rotating viscoelastic sandwich circular plate is studied in this paper. The main researches are as follows:(1) Based on the classical laminated plate theory and Kelvin-Voigt constitutive equation, the vibration controlling equations of non-rotating viscoelastic sandwich circular plate are established. By employing the method of resparated variables, the natural frequencies, modes and damping coefficients of the non-rotating viscoelastic sandwich circular plate are calculated respectively in consideration of the boundary of clamped edge, simple support edge, clamped inner edge and free outer edge. The results obtained by present method are compared with those of finite element method. The effects of geometrical parameter on the natural frequencies and damping coefficients are discussed.(2) Based on the classical laminated plate theory and Kelvin-Voigt constitutive equation, the vibration controlling equations of rotating viscoelastic sandwich circular plate are established, considering the effect of centrifugal force. Taking the modal function of the non-rotating sandwich circular plate as trial function, the controlling equations are discreted by employing Galerkin method. The natural frequencies of the rotating viscoelastic sandwich circular plate are calculated in consideration of the boundary of clamped edge, simple support edge, clamped inner edge and free outer edge. The effects of rotating parameter and geometrical parameter on the natural frequencies are discussed. (3) On the basis of the above, the dynamic response of the sandwich circular plate under concentrated load and surface load is calculated and the dynamic response of the sandwich annular plate under surface load is calculated.
