Fluorine is an important non metallic halogen elements of human life. Though theappropriate amount of fluorine will be good for teeth, long-term drinking high fluorinewater may cause fluorosis disease. Local fluorine poisoning is becoming more and morepopular in some regions of Northwest plain Lu because of long-term drinking high fluorinegroundwater. So we must survey the groundwater quality and find out the distribution andcause of high fluorine groundwater.We survey the regional geological of the northwest plain Lu to find out the source offluorine and survey the groundwater quality to draw the distribution map; we collectgroundwater samples to analysis the the correlation、linear and multiple linear betweenfluorine and other lons in groundwater; we find out a good method to remove the fluorinein the groundwater through experiment.The results show that: the fluorine in groundwater come from the Quaternary strata;different evaporation and irrigation cause the partial high fluorine groundwater; in deepgroundwater, the fluorine has positively connection with pH value and minus connectionwith Ca2+and Mg2+, Ca2+plays the leading role in the formation of deep high fluorinegroundwater; it is a good way to use zeolite to reducing the fluorine in groundwater.
