The YaBulai Basin is located in the western part of the Inner Mongolia. There aregreat differences of the exploration degree between the eastern and the western parts.Based on the previous researches about the basin, three research prospects areconsidered to study the geochemistry conditions in the basin, including thecombination of the outcrop reconnaissance and the core (and chip) description, theanalysis in both the macro-and the micro-scope, and the researches on theorganic-inorganic characteristics. The hydrocarbon generation and oil accumulationconditions are studiedaccording to the characteristics of hydrocarbon generation andexpulsion,source rock and mature evolution.Jurassic formations of YaBulai basinhas a high-quality hydrocarbon generation,mainly developed four sets of high-quality hydrocarbon source rocks.Three sets are inJ2x1group.One is in J2q group.High-quality hydrocarbon source rocks contains ofinterbedded.lamalginite. The kerogen type of organic matter is predominantlysapropelic and evolution of source rocks are during mature stage.The grade ofmaturity was increased following the increase of the depth. The depression of XiaoHuin YaBulai basin about the hydrocarbon generation and discharge intensity ofsourcerocks are the highest among the depressions. The source rocks of J2x1groupbegan to generate hydrocarbon at the end of Jurassic Period, and has entered the stageof a large number of oil. According to the basin oil and gas resource potentialevaluation, the basin resources potential can be cleared. And by using rock-oilgeochemistry contrast and organic-inorganic inclusion analysis, illustrates thereservoir accumulation within the source have been found. Therefore, it is identifiedthat the depression of XiaoHu in Yabulai basin is areas favorable for hydrocarbonaccumulation, grooves near the center of the basin is favorable for oil and gasaccumulation zone. |
