The Development Of The Marine Controlled Source Transmitter’s Assistance Unit

As an important marine electromagnetic survey method, marine controlledsource electromagnetic detection plays a very important role in solid mineralexploration, offshore oil and gas exploration and evaluation of subsea engineering.Whose basic principle is that a low-frequency electromagnetic sources dragged at thetop of the seabed, the receivers are arranged in the sea or at the top ofelectromagnetic source，aiming to receive electromagnetic scattering response fromthe seabed geological and use the response to study undersea formations electricaldistribution. Being the controlled source electromagnetic excitation field source,marine controlled source electromagnetic transmitter is not only the hardware-basedof CSEM method, but also probing an important part in the entire marine CSEMstudies.The marine controlled source transmitter’s assistance unit is an important part ofthe overall transmission system, and its main function is to provide a weak part ofthe transmitter power management, real-time data acquisition and storage emissioncurrent and time data and to upload the data to the host computer. In this paper, themain research is that based on a low-power microprocessor (ARM7, Atmega8), μC/OS-II real-time multi-tasking operating system, USB data acquisition storage andlabview programming technology, and based on research author development thehardware circuit and driver software of transmitter’s assistance unit, the labviewPC software and so on. The hardware circuit includes CH375and lpc2368ofUSB-based data acquisition and storage, based on Atmega8relay control, A/Dconversion and power supply. Software part is mainly based on μC/OS-II operatingsystem under KEIL development environment, to achieve the emission current data and time data is stored in a fixed format in the U disk, and also uploaded to the PC,which is Modular clear, readable and stability. Meanwhile LABVIEW PC softwarealso achieves the aim that the emission current transmitter visual reproduction.Marine controlled source electromagnetic system were indoor debug assemblyand testing in December2012to February2013and launched the scientific researchship Marine VI aboard,and during traveled in the South China Sea Fox God waterscarried out some marine production tests, during the tests the electromagnetic systemis stable, the technical indicators have reached expectations, and successfullycollected the relevant data. The marine controlled source electromagnetic transmittersystem designed to assist unit is also designed to further enhance the marineelectromagnetic transmitter system and provided valuable experience for future andreliable technology accumulation.
