The tribe Voriini Robineau-Desvoidy is a worldwide group and the largest groupof Dexiinae (Diptera, Tachinidae). Currently,69species22genera of Voriini areknown in China. It is distinguished from the other12tribes of Dexiinae by itsparafacial often with strong proclinate setae or hairs,as well as the setae on thebottom of R1and R4+5. The Voriini plays a significant role in agriculture and forestrynatural enemy insects in and whose members mainly parasitic on larvae ofLepidoptera, which include Geometridae, Pieridae, Lymantriidae, Noctuidae,Sphingidae and Hesperiidae, and there are also report illustrated its parasitic onHymenoptera. In addition, Voriini also belongs to the group of pollinating insects. It is shown though the molecular technologies that the length of28S RNA andCOI genes of the8genera9species of Voriini from China we selected are449.1bpand635bp respectively. the average proportion of base contain is respectivelyT=36.5%,39%; C=11.34%,15.7%; A=36.7%,30.2%; G=15.4%,15.2%;A+T=73.2%,69.2%. Ts+Tv between28S rRNA gene and COI gene are0.002-0.114and0.048-0.344between different genera of Vorinii.Through the evolutionary analysis of8genera9species of Voriini from China,Ts+Tv between28S rRNA gene and COI gene are0.002-0.114and0.048-0.344between different genera of Voriini. Take Sarcophaga as a outgroup, the topology ofphylogenetic trees of Bayesia, NJ, MP and ML method show very similar results. Inthis study, molecular phylogenetic analysis suggest that Cyrtophleba and Voria aresister group according with the result morphological affinity and phylogeny ofTachinidae, the both genera, periscepsia and Thelaira have close phylogenetionshipsand each are monophyletic, Phyllomya and Thelyconychia are closely affinity andmonophyletic group. As the analysis of phylogenetic trees together with themorphology characteristic, Halydaia and Leptothelaira has a close phylogeneticrelationships, but the support rate is low. Due to the far phylogenetic relationshipsbetween these two and other genera of Voriini, we suggest that they are paraphyleticto the other genra of Voriini, as well as outgroups.
