The main content of this study was to solve the problem of thespontaneous emission of atom in the metal wedge with closed orbittheory. Closed orbit theory is one of the most important methods tosolve the problem of the spontaneous emission of atom. Recentresearch had successfully solved the problem of the spontaneousemission of atom in the specific environment by using the closedorbit theory. The specific environment refers to a special openangle《special angle was n/N,which N was arbitrary positiveinteger) of metal wedge. This paper extended the special openingangle of wedge to arbitrary opening angle through numericalsimulation method, so as to enlarge the range of application forclosed orbit theory to solve the problem of the spontaneousemission in specific environment. In early times, closed orbit theory described the behavior ofatoms or ions absorb photons and emit electrons. Closed orbitmeans the classical trajectory corresponding to the movement ofthe outgoing electron. Recently,an extension from electron tophoton in closed orbit theory, which can be used to discuss thespontaneous emission of atom. The spontaneous emission rate ofatom was calculated by quantum electrodynamics in the past. As the formula of quantum electrodynamics is complicated andtedious, the calculation is very difficult. Closed orbit theory couldnot only give the results of the spontaneous emission rate of atom, but also show a more graphical physical interpretation. Closedorbit theory made an easier calculation, and could get moreapplication in this kind of problems. The main work of this article was to study the spontaneousemission of atom in the metal wedge which’s opening angle is ageneral one. For special opening angle of metal wedge, differentways had got same results successfully, for example, F,S.S.Rosahad used the method of quantum electrodynamics and Zhao Haijunand Du Mengli had used the closed orbit theory. Closed orbit theoryto calculate the spontaneous rate of atom need to looK for itsclosed orbits in metal wedge. For general opening angle of metalwedge, closed orbits of an atom can not get from mirror imagemethod directly. We developed using numeircal simulation tosimulate closed orbits and summarize a general rule of closedorbits of the atom in an arbitrary opening angle of metal wedge. Wehad taken the special angle into the general law of closed orbitthen compared the results with the closed orbits got from mirrorimage method. The same spontaneous radiation we got from thetwo ways demonstrating that our rule is correct, and then theproblem of spontaneous radiation of atom in the metal wedge witharbitrary opening angle had been solved. At the end of this article,we briefly introduced a sum rule which the spontaneous radiationaccords with. The sum rule means the change of the rate ofspontaneous emission subject to a formula. It’s physical meaning atom in environment and free space. This is because thefluctuation is not zero is the root cause of the spontaneousemission rate of atom in any environment. We proved spontaneousemission rate of an atom in a certain environment verify the sumrule.
