X-ray pulsar navigation is a new method of navigation, it’s estimation of TOA by X-ray photon detection. But X-ray can’t penetrate the atmosphere, so the ground verification system of X-ray photon detection is needed. In response to these needs, this paper describes an experimental platform which realizes the simulation and detection of the X-ray pulsar signal. According to the theory of X-ray pulsar navigation, this paper implements the epoch folding of the photon arrival time and generates the pulse profile.The ground verification system of X-ray pulsar detection is the foundation of navigation in the deep space in the future. On this basis, the paper analyzes the key technology in each ingredient of the platform. The research mainly involves the following aspects.1) The design of the pulsar database. The database is the foundation of the navigation, and the key to simulate the source of the x-ray pulsar as well. This paper searches for the parameters of the pulsar from foreign database and professional software. Meanwhile, visit some domestic astronomical observatory to learn theory of the x-ray pulsar Now the database is also in growing.2) Simulation of the X-ray pulsar signal. According to the characteristic of the x-ray pulsar, this paper selects the grid controlled x-ray tube to generate x-ray photon with different flux density. And design the grid controlled circuit, which realizes the communication with the database as well.3) Analysis of the x-ray sensor and design of the signal detection and processing circuit. This paper analyzes the key parameters to improve the precision in navigation and select Si-PIN sensor as the final detection preferentially. In response to the output characteristic, design the detect circuit, which realizes signal processing and communication with the PC.4) Mechanical structure design of the experimental platform. This paper analyzes the absorption characteristic of the x-ray in different objects, design the shielding structure and vacuum chamber, which connect each part of the platform well. Experimental results show that the barricade shield against the x-ray well, and the vacuum chamber can bear atmospheric pressure as well.Finally, design some corresponding test experiments in order to certify the feasibility of the platform and detector.
