Weishan Lake in Shandong province is a typical of alkaline shallow lakes in northern China, In order to reasonable development and utilization of lake area of natural resources, protect the ecological environment. From2010to2011, zooplankton and physical&chemical factors are researched8times by seasons in Weishan Lake. A comprehensive analysis zooplankton and water quality at the present status of the whole lake, but also a comparative analysis on three different area to study the role of higher aquatic plants in Weishan Lake water quality improvement.Totally65generas and95species of zooplankton (not including nauplius)were found in these two years, of which25kinds of protozoa, accounts for26.3%of the total of the species in the mountain,53kinds of rotifers, accounting for55.8%of the total of the species in the mountain,11kinds of branch angle of class, accounts for11.6%of the total of the species in the mountain,6kinds of copepods, accounted for6.3%of the total of the species in the mountain.Among them, and found that79species of zooplankton in weishan lake in2010, and76species in2011.Distribution of dominant species vary with seasonal changes significantly, Rotifers are highest species in each quarter of dominance, the spiral tortoiseshell rotifers dominance is as high as0.41in Spring; scissors arm end rotifers is the highest at advantage degree in Summer, the dominance index was0.32; the highest dominance is growing limb limb rotifers in Autumn and Winter, dominance of0.29and0.32respectively.Zooplankton abundance of Weishan Lake was at800ind in2010./L, the biomass was at3.67mg/L; Zooplankton abundance was at2120ind./L in2011, the biomass was at3.76mg/L, fish feed on zooplankton and rivers potential was about2.3x107kg a year.Using Shannon Wiener-Shannon index and Pielou evenness index to evaluate water quality, the results as follows:as a whole, the water quality of Weishan Lake in2011was slightly better in2010, the water quality status of each quarter was as follows:Summer> Autumn> Spring> Winter. Water quality fit and unfit quality comparison of each sampling sites was:sampling site3>sampling site2>sampling site5>sampling site1>sampling site6>sampling site>4.Correlatively analyze the community structure of zooplankton and the various physical and chemical factor, found that zooplankton abundance of Weishan Lake, have significant negative correlation relationship with transparency, zooplankton species have significant negative correlation relationship with dissolved oxygen, have significant positive correlation with conductivity.From species,(dominant species and index B/T), the diversity index (shannon index and evenness index) and the physical and chemical factors (DO, conductivity, dissolved oxygen cond., TN, total phosphorus, total nitrogen, TP etc.), these several aspects carries on the comprehensive evaluation. On the whole, water quality of Weishan Lake was at medium level.Compared three different functional water areas on the biological species, diversity index and the physical and chemical factors, all the data showed that grass planting demonstration area water quality was much better than culture zones (demonstration), showed higher aquatic plants to control eutrophication of water body has a certain effect.
