High-rate GPS can monitor earthquakes effectively. Combining with seismic andgeophysical data, it can detect rupture processing, crustal medium and hypocentermechanism. Especially the high-rate real-time GPS positioning technology has a greatsignificance in earthquake monitoring and alerting.This paper briefly discusses and researches important issues in GPS real-timedata processing, the GPS real-time quality controlling and precision orbitdetermination. The main contents and related researches including:1. This paper researches methods and techniques in GPS relative positioning.Besides, the errors in GPS real-time kinematic positioning are discussed.2. This paper studies the GAMIT/TrackRT, including the real-time GPS datastream and the ambiguity solution.3. By performing a real-time deformation test, we analyze the using accuracy ofGamit/TrackRT. We obtain the real-time series of TG06by3differentsolutions, which are short baseline, long baseline and network. And thecomparison of accuracy is discussed. The results show that: the horizontalcomponent of accuracy is better than2cm, and the vertical component ofaccuracy is better than5cm.4. This paper studies precision orbit determination and extrapolation by usingGAMIT/GLOBK. Broadcast ephemeris as the initial orbit, using30campaign GPS sites and84IGS sites, we implement precision orbitdetermination and extrapolation. Strategy contents single day and three daymode. In addition, we analyze the factor that impact the orbit accuracy andsolution time.Generally, we verify that the feasibility and reliability of GAMIT/TrackRT. Inaddition, high-rate real-time GPS positioning technology can be used in furtherseismic study. In the end, we summarize the entire research work and indicate thefurther research.
