Researching the scattering of SH-waves and dynamic stress concentration factor by asubsurface elastic circular structure has great academic significance and distinct referencedvalue in practical project. The content in the paper belongs to the range of elastic dynamics.Based on the idea of “domain division” and “conjunction”, the problems of SH-wavesscattering by a subsurface elastic cylindrical lining near a circular cavity in half-space, whichis researched by the methods of the function of complex variable method and the multi-polarcoordinates method. The entire solution region is broke up into two sections, the section twois a elastic cylindrical lining, and all of the rest is considered to be the section one. Firstly, toconstruct a scattered wave function in the cylindrical elastic lining, which belongs to thesection two. Secondly, the incident wave function and reflected wave function are constructedfirst, and then a scattered wave function is constructed in the section one, which includes twocircular cavities and satisfies the boundary condition that the stress is zero at the horizontalfree surface of the half space. Thirdly, the two parts are conjoined on the junction interface inthe half space, and the stress and the displacement on the common boundary are continuous. Then to construct a set of infinite algebraic equations which can solve this problem, and thefinite terms of infinite algebraic equations can be truncated. Lastly, the examples andcomputational results are given, and the results are discussed that the dynamic stressconcentration factor could be influenced by the incident wave parameters, the parameters ofelastic lining, the thickness of lining, the distance of the elastic lining and the circular cavity, and the depth of the subsurface inclusion.
