Frequency selective surface, as a spatial filter,is widely used in communication. However, infinite plane FSS model always be used as a theoretical model in practical application and design process.but most of the devices are curved structure, if choose a planar structure, the calculated results and the actual measurement results are always different, If take the plane FSS as model of simulation, calculated results are different from actual measurement results. In order to make the designed FSS and applicated FSS much closer, mathematical modeling and simulation of curved FSS is very necessary. This paper designs a finite cylindrical and taper FSS. Based on the FDTD method, study on the affect of curvature, cell arrangement and cell cycle on cylindrical and conical surface electromagnetic scattering characteristics of FSS, Results show:with the increase of curvature, angle between cells and cell cycle, frequency point drift to low frequency, transmittance decreased, side scatter enhanced and backscatter weakened.
