Qunli iron deposit is located in Qimantage–Dulan variscanFe-Co-Cu-Pb-Zn-Sn-wollastonite(Sb,Bi) metallogenic belt. This deposit, besides foundFe-Au-Pb-Zn-Cu deposit in reginal area, has an intimate relationship with the red moyite.Mineralization was mainly produced in the contact area of Variscan moyites andsurrounding rocks. The mineralization is controlled by faults, belong to a post-magmatichydrothermal deposit. Thus, identifying the genesis and metallogenic regularity is of greatsignificance for geological exploration and prospecting work further guidance on the nextstep to enhance the study level of the deposit. The author summarized and analyzed itscharacteristics and exploration prospects.Qunli iron eposit belongs to epithermal skarn deposit. Mineral sources came fromthe lower group of Proterozoic Jinshuikou, whose lithologies includ migmatites, gneissesand marbles. Hydrothermal source came from Indosinian granites. The orebodiesdistribution is controlled by NWW and NE faults.Baishahe group deposited on the marginal accretion belt of the East Kunlun duringlate Archean to early Paleozoic, forming the original source of iron ore deposit. Duringlate Triassic, the granitic magma intruded deeply with high energy, releasing tremendousenergy, interacting with marble, resulting in the recrystallization process, and incarbonate, forming a iron polymetallic skarn-type deposit in tectonic fracture-relatedcontact zone.Through researches and analysises about the past geological datas on the Qunli irondeposit, combined with the metallogenic regularity and prospecting model, the authorsummed up that M0magnetic anomaly area has a larger prospecting prospect forimprovement.
