In order to relieve the tense situation of shortage of fresh water resources in our country,develop and utilize the seawater as industrial cooling water is imperative. Use seawater asindustrial cooling water, can solve the problem between the increasing water resources shortageand industrial fast development.Natural seawater contains not only most of all the elements on the earth but also a greatamount of organic molecules and marine living beings. In order to solve the corrosion, scale andbacteria problems in seawater circulating cooling system, an enviromentally friendly watertreatment agent in seawater was prepared. The performance of corrosion, scale inhibition andbiodegradability were investigated by rotary hanging-piece corrosion testing, electrochemical,scale inhibition tests and biodegradation experiments. And corrosion mechanism was discussed.The optimal weight ratio of zinc sulfate, hexadecylldimethyl (2-sulphite) ethyl ammonium(C20)、 polyaspartic acid (PASP) and hydroxyphosphonoacetic acid (HPAA) was studied by latinexperiment. The best ratio of the components in the agent was3∶6∶15∶1. When theconcentration of corrosion inhibitor was150mg L-1, the corrosion inhibition rate was above90%in both seawater and concentrated seawater. At the time, the enviromentally friendly watertreatment agent can stabilize Fe3+disperse uniformly, which would avoid the ions to deposite onthe surface of the pipeline and corrode under the scale.The result of potentiostatic polarization curves showed that the enviromentally friendlywater treatment agent was an effective anodic type corrosion inhibitor. It could form a adsorptionmembrane on the metal surface, which would inhibit corrosion.The abilities of biodegradation was investigated, the result showed that the enviromentallyfriendly water treatment agent also has a good biodegrability. The efficiency of biodegradabilityreach to61.10%in7d and reach to85.56%in28d.
