From the phenomenon of ground fissure movement to the destruction of the buildingphenomenon of the1950s, the ground fissures has become one of the most importantgeological disasters in urban construction. This paper study on i concealed ground fissures’rupture and extended based on field investigation, theoretical analysis and numericalsimulation method.The main contents are:(1) Summarize the structural characteristics of the ground fissures through field survey,collating informations and divided ground fissures into "Y" type, echelon type, ladder-type,track type and composite type.(2) Analyze the causes of ground fissures according to field material and the principles ofmechanics of the different mechanisms or differtent morphological characteristics’groundfissure.Based on above reserches,we can classify the ground fissures as shear groundfissure,tensile ground fissure and tensile-shear ground fissure by mechanisms,in samedirection with hidden ground fissure、up-right ground fissure and go against with hiddenground fissure by morphological characteristics.(3) Research the influencing factors of ground fissure rupture extended based on energyrelease.Then we can found the influencing factors of ground fissure rupture extended areoverburden soil’s thickness, hidden fissures’feature, characteristics of soil structure andstrength, artificial exploitation of groundwater and earthquakes.(4)Numerical simulate different dip and different deepth of hidden ground fissure’srupture propagation in order to find the ground fissure’s rupture propagation model,stressdistribution characteristics and effect size.(5)The hidden fissures’rupture and extended divided intu4models in this paper andanalyze mechanical mechanism of these models and concluded the impact width of hiddenfissure.
