Fen-wei rift zone located between multiple building blocks, It is both the boundaries ofeastern and western region of our country and the tectonic belt and decoupling with Ordosblock, North China block, South China blocks differences movement. Rift basin formed withthis particular tectonic environment, laid a new tectonic activity, earthquakes, geologicaldisaster-prone continent dynamic background.In this paper, network engineering etal. in the region has got seven observational datasince1999, GAMIT/GLOBK software were used for data processing, and access to get theregion in different reference rate field and analyze the movement characteristics. We find that:the entire area has a SE Trend, the rate of the Wei-he basin middle region was faster than theother region and the south of Shanxi rift basins faster than it’s north region which shows itsmore active characteristics of the deformation than other blocks. Its internal differencesvelocity field shows that there are two Tributary along the Ordos block flow around thenortheastern margin of qing-zang Tibet-ganqing block in this area,and it shows the differencesand complexity of Fen-wei basin movement.On the basis of the overall characteristics of the study, in order to study the movementand tectonic deformation characteristics of the key areas of the Fen River Basin, We useseismic network GPS and leveling profile in the area of Baotou, Datong, Shanyin, Taiyuan,Jiexiu etl. to study the characteristics of movement deformationof each arae. Analysis of fivevenues are showing each area the characteristics of the NW-SE movement and have dextralextension strain rift sink characteristics.The least squares configurations was used to obtain the maximum and minimumprincipal strain rate and maximum shear strain rate in this region with GPS velocity field,which shows NW-SE rift zone of Fenwei mainly to the tension, Liupanshan breaks shows aprincipal compressive strain, Yinchuan basin advocates strain features; and they are all highshear strain values zone.The Ordos Stable block as a whole shows counter-clockwise trend.Combined with regional tectonic framework and Fenwei rift zone of tectonic setting, preliminary analysis the crustal deformation dynamic mechanism of Right Fenwei rift zone.
