Comprehensive application of petroleum geology, structural geology, geophysics andother disciplines, theories and methods, the relationship of the fault with the petroleumaccumulation of central uplift belt in Dongying sag was studied.Combining with regional geological background, the characteristics of the developmentof the fracture and the distribution of the petroleum was summarized, and the types offault-transformed zone were divided, clearing the accumulation characteristic of the oil andgas. The fault-transformed zone can be divided into four types: controlled by single fault,parallel, approach and overlay type. The petroleum was mainly enriched in the structural highpart of the Fault Block cut by the main fault for the type of controlled by the single fault. Thepetroleum was banding distribution in the type of parallel The petroleum was mainly enrichedin the structural high part of the arc fault block for the type of approach, for the type of theoverlay, the petroleum was mainly exist in the waist of the fault-transformed zone.The difference of the fault activity and its effect to the distribution of the petroleum hasbeen analyzed. SGR method, diferent displacement pressure between faultand reservoir,opening and closing coefficient are three different methods to evaluate theheight of the oil column quantitatively. Forming mechanism and petroleum geological significance of fault asphalt have beenanalyzed.
