With the rapid development of the city, city changes are more and more obvious. In orderto better for the city planning, city management and decision-making personnel to providetimely information, it is necessary to timely detect changes on the development of the city.Inthis paper,The use of artificial buildings on the city changes in UAV remote sensing images todetect, According to the change of artificial building city region mainly reflect thecharacteristics of change in height,Firstly, the original image the UAV aerial to generate thedigital surface model(DSM), And put forward a method for making the real projective image,Then considering the changes in different stages of DSM images may be subject to somechanges in vegetation and road changes, In this paper, using the UAV image segmentation ofvegetation and road area method is studied. Finally, using two different periods of nogeneration UAV aerial image in two different digital surface model (DSM) phase, in thisfoundation to detect the change of regional artificial building city area. Changes of DSMimage is not only reflected in the change of the height of building, but also other changes suchas trees reflected in the height change. Since the detection aims to understand the changes ofcity area within the building, so the candidate changes in the area using the gradient directionhistogram matching and line feature matching method for further analysis to changes inartificial building city area. Using the experimental UAV images were two different periods ofXi’an Chan-Ba area, from the experimental results, the proposed method is feasible, and themethod is simple, intuitive and easy to operate.
