Collapse is a phenomenon that when the shear stress of the slope ground is greater thanthe shear strength, ground is not found the sensible displacement in the shear rupture surface,and suddenly tilting, then quickly tumbling down the hillside and breaking. It is made by thedangerous rock mass ecclasis which is caused by the combination and cut of the differentstructure surface and fractured surface. As a form of loess disasters, the harm is very great. Atpresent, the understanding of collapse is largely in a stage of experience, and there is still alack of systematic research on the mechanism of collapse. On the basis of predecessors’research, in this paper, the author conducted a more in-depth research of the conditions,influence factors, failure modes, mechanical model, trajectory simulation of the loess collapseblock, the risk assessment of loess collapse disaster of the collapse disasters and so on. Onthis basis, a mathematical model of the loess collapse risk assessment has been put forward,this study has sertain reference value to improve the existing risk assessment methods. Themain content is as follows:(1) Through the survey of typical loess collapse hazard, according to the analysis ofcollapse deformation and failure characteristics and the geological phenomenon, classifyingthe failure mode of the collapse.(2) Analyzing the conditions and influence factors of loess collapse disaster, based on thesummary of the previous data and field survey data. And then using grey correlation analysismethod to identify the main control factor of loess collapse, thereby establishing a loesslandslide risk assessment index system.(3) In this paper, using the sliding collapse type as an example and selecting the specificcase. And then, obtained the specific location of slip surface when the collapse occurs byusing the engineering software. In view of some of the shortcomings of the software on thetimeliness, in this paper, using the intelligent method: Genetic Algorithm to search the most dangerous slip crack surface.(4) For the trajectory equations of collapse block, the corresponding mathematical modelis set up in stages; To simulate the trajectory of the loess collapse block by programming.(5) On the basis of the trajectory simulation of the collapse block, considering the maincontrolling factors of loess collapse comprehensivly, A mathematical model of riskassessment of loess collapse has been put forward. And use the collapse in Baoji Chencangdistrict as an example, and assessed the risk of it by using the mathematical model which isproposed in this paper.
