With the development of the times and social progress, people pay more and moreattention to the development of human resources, the employing units in the selectionof personnel, which requests applicant more and more high level in the scientific andcultural level and knowledge structure. Especially with the rapid development ofhigher education, expanding enrollment and rapid updating of knowledge, which had agreat influence on students and teachers structure. As a training ground, has alwaysbeen an important research subject in the educational circles, for how to improve theteaching quality of higher education and the training of high-level personnel useful tosociety. With the popularization and development of computer, which provides aconvenient and possible for large data. In order to understand students’ learningsituation, we choose the maximum impact and the most extensive on the course ofhigher mathematics education as the research object, we collected two semesters of thecourse of higher mathematics original results of2229students, and played statisticalanalysis and research on it, which provides useful information for teachers andstudents, improving teaching quality. In this paper, according to the collected student achievement, we sorted andinspected the data by using the method of multivariate statistical analysis, weestablished hierarchical model based on analysis of variance. According to thedepartment and class two forms of student learning conditions played significant test;also used the principal component analysis method to find out some principalcomponent reflect student learning the analysis of status, analyzed represent themeaning; At last we analyzes the difficulty, discrimination, reliability, coverage andother aspects of the analysis of the paper structure, and the two set of test results areanalyzed and compared, and build a mathematical model to describe the rate of progress.Through statistical analysis of students’ scores, we found problems in teachingand the differences of the students master the teaching content of each chapter from. Soas to provide useful information for the teaching units and students, to improve thequality of teaching and to stimulate students interest in learning.
