In recent years conditions for seismic exploration are more and more complex, seismic data processing has become increasingly difficult, the reflected waveinformation contains a lot of noise information, the ground roll is one of the maininterference. The ground roll is secondary waves that seismic waves propagate andinterfere with each other on the surface. Therefore, the characteristics of the ground rollin seismic data are high amplitude, low frequency, low velocity, vertical direction. Inorder to improve the resolution of seismic data to facilitate the interpretation of seismicdata, to suppress the ground roll in seismic data processing becomes a research hotspotand difficult. To suppress the surface wave in the process to protect effectively thereflected wave, the paper take full advantage of the characteristics of surface waves, using Shearlet transform to allow sparse representations of seismic data, it isdecomposed into multi-scale and multi-direction. The scale reflects the frequency, anglereflects the speed, and based on effective reflection and the ground roll in the frequency, speed and direction of the difference to be separated. Meanwhile, we isolated theground roll of the singular value decomposition to remove a large portion of singularvalues to obtain the result of suppression of the ground roll for the high amplitudecharacteristics. Finally, we compare the proposed method with the K-L transform,Shearlet hard threshold, this method proved to suppress the surface wave is an effectivedenoising.
