This paper analyse sea surface temperature front of KuroshioExtension(KE)inwinter of2000and2006using dynamic height data from Aviso and SST from NOAA,and simulate the secondary circulation structure December1–9,2000and2006usingWRF model. As we known, the location of atmospheric secondary circulationstructure is southerly in winter2006,and the strength is stronger.in2000,the locationis also southerly but the strength is weaker. The article focuses especially on real-timechanges of the secondary circulation within the scope of the simulation time, and theresponse of the secondary circulation on the strength of the temperature front. The simulative results show that the secondary circulation does not always exist, which is strongly influenced by the background atmospheric system and sometimesstructure can not be identified, and the strength of the secondary circulation isstronger in2006than that in2000during the research period. We analyze theatmospheric structure and meteorological elements in the ocean temperature frontarea and compare the structure under different atmospheric systems. After changingthe temperature of the south of the front, the height of the upward flow becomeshigher up to more than4km at the south side, the high sea level pressure (SLP) getweaker, the low SLP gets stronger. But at the opposite side, the downward flow ofsecondary circulation becomes stronger, at the atmosphere bottom, the influence ofthe cold convection get stronger due to the north wind, the latent heat flux showszonal distribution along the KE, so does the sensible heat flux, andtheformer playsa dominate role in the sea-air heat exchange. The vapor changing mainly happensbelow2km, after the temperature of the south of front getting higher, the meridionalgradient get stronger. During the experiment, the stronger secondary circulationresults in the upper west wind momentum downward transport getting obviouslystronger, whichleads the bottom west wind of the temperature front zone getting evidently stronger...
