Slag mudslide debris flow is caused by centralized exploitation of mineralresources, which are mainly distributed in the area that is teemed with mineralresources. It is an outstanding geological disasters, often because the occurrence ofdebris flow and its hazards affect the mine’s construction and resources exploitation. For its fast velocity, sudden breakout, huge damage, debris flow often causes strongdamage to ecological environment, and human’s production, property and life. So,we must do effort to strengthen certain investigation, estimate, early warning, forecast and disaster reduction management in reference to debris flow, organizingeconomical and effective prevention measures for the precaution against occurrenceand reducing the loss by debris flow as far as possible.Firstly, the specific circumstances of a gully topography, seismogeology, catchment conditions and loose material were investigated, which located inwanjiang area. The source distribution and storage were measured basing on thelarge amount of data. It is pointed out that the safety management, the terrain andland form, the solid substance origin, the hydrodynamic condition are the necessitiesfor the formation of mine debris flow. In the next place, by summarizing the formingcondition and characteristics of mine debris flow, the hazard assessment indexsystem is established, and the quantitative hazard assessment method for debris flowdisasters is presented. The multi-level extensible evaluation model for mine debrisflow is developed. By analysing the degree of association, the risk degrees of themine debris flow and its systems are determined. In view of each factors of safetyconditions, reforming opinions are given. This paper can provide a reference formine debris flow risk assessment, risk management and disaster mitigation. Finally, on the basis of the local actual situation, the corresponding engineeringand biology countermeasures are proposed. In engineering aspects, drainage ditchand block dam are designed. Some biology countermeasures are plant varieties, prescription technique and construction technique.According to the local conditions, the hazard assessment model and controlmeasures of the debris flow are established and used successfully. The researchresults have a great significance for further study and provide a reference for othersimilar hazard assessment of mine debris flow.
