Atmospheric aerosol extinction coefficient can reflect the distribution of atmospheric pollution in an area, the research on evaluation of atmospheric environmental pollution, climate effect of aerosol of radiation has important significance, so the detection area of the distribution of the aerosol optical depth for regional pollution condition and it is meaningful to study climate change. Different from traditional ground remote sensing detection methods, satellite remote sensing inversion method has a wide coverage, the advantages of easy to data acquisition and data transmission, can be more efficient to retrieve aerosol data, out of the ground detection method can only obtain certain the data on the site, does not have access to the lack of time and space distribution, large area within the scope of aerosol by using satellite remote sensing compensates for the ground observation, the lack of monitoring data, convenient people informed of large area within the scope of the atmospheric aerosol. The A-train satellite data from January2007to October2007has been used in this paper to study the aerosol distribution and vertical distribution characteristics of space and time on northern China(divided into three parts:the west region-W area, central region-M area, east area region-E), the main conclusions are as follows:(1) Because of the long-term observation sites in northern China was less except Beijing, xianghe and xinglong, This paper by taking the data of the three sites and Aqua-MODIS satellite data comparison results was good, can better reflect the distribution of aerosols in north China region, basic has applicability in the area, northwest areas need more data for validation.(2) MODIS and CALIPSO satellite retrievaled the column aerosol optical depth distribution characteristics were basically the same, From the point of average annual distribution characteristics in northern China aerosol optical depth have very close relationship with area that aerosol optical depth of high-value and low-value areas were affected by terrain. AOD high value area was distributed in W area-south xinjiang basin,(mainly affected by dust aerosol) and low-lying plain of north China region, and the higher ground of M north area and E area of AOD value is relatively low.(3) MODIS retrieval of aerosol optical depth distribution characteristics of northern China was:W areas AOD of the high value in seasonal distribution characteristic was:spring>summer>autumn, then winter increases slowly; E areas AOD of the high value in seasonal distribution characteristic was:summer>spring, followed by autumn and winter minimum.The results of this study and the results CALIPSO satellite are basically the same. The deep-blue algorithm of Aqua MODIS retrievals in the northwest desert area of AOD on bright surface result was better.(4) CALIPSO satellite data of aerosol extinction coefficient vertical distribution results show:the annual average aerosol extinction coefficients in the northern region of China gradually decreases with increasing height, most of the aerosol particles distributed in the3.5km below the level.(5) Aerosol extinction coefficient seasonal vertical distribution is obvious at the1.5km、2.5km two levels of aerosol extinction coefficient, W District:maximum in spring, followed by summer, autumn minimum, then winter slowly become larger; the M District aerosol extinction coefficient maximum in spring, followed by summer, then autumn and winter minimum; the E District aerosol extinction coefficient is maximum in spring, followed by summer, autumn minimum,then winter slowly become larger.(6) In a dust conveying example analysis shows that:the dust aerosol vertical distribution of aerosols on the entire region of northern China have produced a certain influence, making northern China in spring aerosol extinction coefficients generally larger.
