The pearl river estuaries system is affected by the sea tides, waves, upstream runoff, wind and so on, where the rivers are in a criss-cross pattern and the densities of river net are high, so the hydrodynamic environment is very intricate. The distinction of density layer stream structure characteristics, fairly complex spatial and temporal activity characteristics and the dynamic characteristic of the estuarine saline coupled with the difficulty to get the limited regional observation data in such a wide range, so it is difficult to make a comprehensive and rational assessment of saline by the traditional statistics method with a single evaluation. Therefore, the purpose of this article is to establish a comprehensive evaluation index system of the Pearl River Estuary saline to make a comprehensive and rational assessment by combining the continuity advantage of numerical simulation data.For this reason, this paper introduces the marine estuary mode FVCOM based on the non-structure triangle mesh, finite volume method and three-dimensional ocean original equations in order to get the three-dimensional barocline numerical simulation of Pearl River Network-estuaries-offshore with a large-scale and high-resolution, which makes full use of its flexible grid layout, optimizes the computing grid, and is proved to meet the computing requirements in calibration and verification according to a large number of data measured. On the basis of the three-dimensional numerical model, we have analyzed the temporal characteristics and the dynamic characteristics of the saline activities of the Pearl River Estuary, and the analytical results show that the evaluation of saline requires a comprehensive consideration from different aspects of time and space, and it puts put forward a principle requirement in the establishment of the saline evaluation index system; combining the unique advantages of numerical simulation methods and the principles of establishing the evaluation index system, and then making a classification analysis and selection of existing evaluation indicators of saline, at last establishing the saline evaluation index system of the Pearl River Estuary. Finally, thanks to the prominent salinity problem, many waterworks and the frequent anthropogenic activities on the topography, this paper assessed terrain transformation along the coast at set six different land reclamation conditions, using the comprehensive evaluation index system presented in the article, which has been proved feasible. The comprehensive saline intrusion evaluation index system put forward in this article, which enriches the research on saline intrusion evaluation and has a long-term significance on the social and economic development.
