There are range of wetlands in China, they are significantly different from areas and environment. Therefore, it is not enough to study on the only large-area and large-scale wetlands. Small and medium specific wetlands must be distinctively researched to enrich the cases of wetland study and accumulate experience. It can provide a scientific basis for wetland conservation and application. Many of the wetland along the Yangtze River are highly representative of small wetlands, these wetlands are based on the development of marshland succession, they are often long and narrow strip or contiguous or piecemeal distribution due to natural conditions and human activities. With the rapid development of social productivity, the human impact on the natural is growing, the wetland and vegetation are also endangered because of the development and utilization of the Yangtze River. In order to make clear the present situation of wetland species resources along the Yangtze River in Changshu and to evaluate its ecosystem health, in this paper, studied wetland plant and animal species taxa composition, distribution, species diversity and water quality and other information from the regional large-scale and small-scale habitat surveys; and analysised the correlation of species and correlation of between plankton and water quality; explored to establish the wetland ecosystem health evaluation system according to the characteristics of Changshu wetlands and the results of international research. It comprehensively evaluated the wetland ecosystem health evaluation by the use of fuzzy comprehensive. Through research, the mian results are as follows.1. In the observation areas,Phragmites australis, Zizania latifolia, Pand Scirpus planiculmis were the dominant plant species, whereas Melosira italica and Microcystis aeruginosa were the dominant phytoplankton species. The diversity of plankton and zoobenthos was lower, while the fishery resources were relatively abundant. There were significant correlations between the wetland plant, plankton and zoobenthos, but no significant correlation was observed between plankton and water quality during the flood season of the Yangtze River. The wetland gradual degradation as terrestrial ecosystems.2. It screened out24Indicators for evaluation from overall functional, ecological characteristics and social environment3areas, proposed a set of simple and practical wetland ecosystem health evaluation system for the wetland in Changshu. Qualitative and quantitative description of the evaluation index features. Each index is divided into5grades:health,sub-health,frangible,disease,terrible.In general, wetland ecosystem health is also divided into five grades by the same method.3. Established comprehensive evaluation methods for the wetland ecosystem health comprehensive evaluation methods, and evaluated Changshu wetland ecosystems health. Changshu wetland ecosystem health degree was0.6257, which was overall in a fragile state. Overall function of wetlands, ecological characteristics, social environment, health degrees were0.6985,0.5557,0.6457, also in a fragile state. From the evaluation matrix to determine the degree of membership, the disease factors on constraint Changshu wetlands health are:water quality, species diversity, changes in wetland area, investment index of environmental protection, chemical fertilizer intensity...
