With the development and advancement of nuclear science,some products of nuclear science entered the horizon of the public,such as nuclear power plants and nuclear weapons.Countries in the world build their own nuclear power plants to relieve the intense pressure of country’s energy resources.Nuclear energy is a safe and clean energy,However,if the nuclear facilities are mismanagement,they will be like the tragedy of the former Soviet Union Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant;the leaders of nuclear power are United States and Russia,they have lots of nuclear weapons,most of which were produced during the Cold War,they are old and lack of technology,so the countries decide to reduce the numbers of nuclear weapons.yRay spectrum fingerprint is the main feature of the nuclear material,so it is significant in the safety management of nuclear facilities and nuclear disarmament process.First,in this paper,the formation mechanism and the detection technology of yray spectrum fingerprint are introduced. Secondly, nuclear weapon spectra in the real environment are simulated by the Monte Carlo method. Finally,the features of these yspectra are extracted through the wavelet packet transform and distinguished through Fisher discrininant.The results show that the identification method based on wavelet packet transform and Fisher disciminant has strong abilities of type identification and individual identification,and can be used in daily nuclear materials safety management and the depth irreversible process of nuclear disarmament.
