The establishment of the IGS (International GPS Service for Geodynamics), which wasset up in the end of last centure, was a symbol for the beginning of geodynamics research byusing GPS data. With the improvement of the accuracy of the Satellite positioning system, Globaldistribution of continuous operation station(mainly analysis the IGS stations in this thesis) hasaccumulated decades of observational data, getting a lot of valuable knowledge.GPS time series not only contains tectonic signal, It also contains non-tectonic signal, seasonal signal, and so on.These noise affect the reliability of the GPS solution, sometimeseven make the wrong interpretation of some geophysical phenomena. So how to extractthenoise from GPS data in a efficient and fast way is one of the key issues of GPS time series. This thesis main analysis6-year time series of IGS continuously operating referencestation observation data.At the first part of this thesis,Introducing the basic principles andanalytical methods of time series,It also introduced in detail of the Space geodetic datapost-processing software the GAMIT and QOCA.Main from tectonic signal, common-modeerror (CME), displacement of the station by the and surface mass load. station annualcampaign launched, the noise contained in the GPS coordinates time series analysis.Usingprincipal component analysis combine wit Karhunen-Loeve expansion filtering with the timeseries, Results show that PCA is a better way to removed non-structural signal from theposion time series, improving the signal-to-noise ratio of the GPS time series. Through theanalysisa from a regional station network, reveals that the GPS posion sequence can monitorthe earthquake process(deformation before the earthquake, coseismic deformation andafter-slip).At the latter part of the thesis,we use spectral analysisto study periodic signal of GPStime series in Vertical component generated from continuously operating stations,We discoverthat GPS coordinates time series contain an abnormal periodic signal of1.04cpy,and exploreits physical source. The results show that displacement of the station caused by the tectonicmovement, common-mode error, surface mass load can not be able to make an explanation ofthe. The results show that the tectonic movement, the common-mode error surface load causedby displacement of the station not be able to make an explanation to the abnormal cycle signal. The abnormal cycle signal close coincide with the repetition period of the GPSconstellation orbit towards the sun(GPS year,about351.2days,1.040cpy), An possibleexplanation is that from the unmodeled GPS system error.
