Based on the specific process of the system, the reliability is studied, according tosome criteria of complexity and reliability, the method which can reduce the failure ofsystem is researched, it has important meaning to ensure the actual operation of a largesystem. In these systems, the research on warm standby repairable system is the actualneed, because the constraints of cost and resource, the complex systems is not aone-time use, then repairs or restores it through a predetermined function when faultsoccur. Because of the flexible and higher economic benefit, by improving themaintenance strategies of the system is one of the main methods to improve thereliability of the system.Based on the intrinsical maintenance policy, this paper studies mainly about theimprovement of the warm standby system. Especially, it proposed that one repairman isconstant, when the failed component is more than one, a temporary repairman is in use.This paper work over the warm standby system which consisting of two dissimilar unitsor a serial-parallel system, the strategy of maintenance is improved. It proposed that onerepairman is constant, when the failed component is more than one, a temporaryrepairman is in use. Finally, a numerical analysis is given to illustrate the reliability andavailability is improved and the feasibility of this method.1) The paper summarizes the speculative knowledge of the repairable warmstandby system and using homogeneous Markov process to analyzing the reliability.2) By using homogeneous Markov process and according to the fact that theserial-parallel system was composed of three non-identical components, the expressionof a series of reliability guideline was obtained for this system.3) A warm standby system consisting of two dissimilar units is studied, someimportant reliability indexes are derived according to the Markov process theory.4) According to comparing and contrasting the intrinsical maintenance policy,then a numerical analysis is given to illustrate the reliability and availability is improvedand the feasibility of this method.
