With the developing of economy, most of the countries have huge requirements ofenergy. The ocean which covered with sea ice in long or short term contains abundantmarine resources. But the sea ice will destroy the marine structure and has causedseveral accidents. So the research of the interaction between the ice and structure isvery important and essential. The research results have indicated that whether therubble pile up occurs in front of marine structures or not has markedly effects on thedistribution and amplification of ice force. Thus, the researchers have more attentionsto the rubble pile up in front of marine structures. This paper developed these works as follows:①Through collecting the literature and data, the research status of the rubble pileup is comprehended. Through the prototype observations, model tests and numericalsimulations, the researches consider that rubble pile up is more easily occurs in frontof the wide conical structure and caisson, and whether the rubble pile up occurs infront of marine structures or not has markedly effects on the distribution andamplification of ice force.②The characteristics of ice mechanics test and the model scale factor arerecapitulated in this paper. During the test, model ice with different states of snowcovered is produced. The difference of snow states will have different influence onthe interaction between ice sheet and conical structure.③The test data and phenomena are analyzed and the regularities of effectsbetween different states of snow covered and rubble pile up behavior are founded andtried to explain it.④Consulting the papers which related with ice sheet covered with snow and theresearch results of model test in this paper, the impact on sea ice growth andproperties with the snow covered is summarized, and the research direction in thefuture is described.
