Albedo reflects the power of the ground surface to absorb the solar energy, it is oneof the most decisive factors which influence the atmosphere movement and the energybalance of the ground surface profoundly. Therefore, accurate retrieval for albedo issignificant in remote sensing applications. Currently, most inversion researches ofalbedo have used MODIS/TM remote sensing image,and selected Tibetan Plateau asthe study area. Due to the orbit time restraint of HJ-1A/B satellite(HJ-1for short) data,the research has not been in full swing. How to use HJ-1satellite data to achieve theinversion with remote sensing technology of surface albedo in order to improve the datause effectiveness of domestic satellite has become a key research nowadays.Firstly, summarizing inversion models and methods for surface albedo in domesticand international researches, and then analyzing its advantages and disadvantages.According to the definition of surface albedo and the bands setting characteristic ofHJ-1satellite, then an inversion method of surface albedo which suits for the CCD dataof HJ-1satellite was established, in other word, it uses6S radiative transfer model onatmospheric correction for CCD data which coveres in different time and location,furthermore, realizes the broad-band surface albedo inversion in multi-spatio-temporalconditions by the formula which converts albedo from narrow-band to broad-band forTM data.Secondly, many means are used to validate accuracy and reliability of the results,by validatiing with measured data and existing research results in study area onatmospheric correction and surface albedo inversion results respectively, and thecorrelation relationship between surface albedo and NDVI is discussed further forvalidating the paper’s conclusion. It presents that the results and accuracy in this paperare reasonable and reliable. What’s more, the method is simple and easy for realization.It both improves the data use effectiveness of domestic satellite and provides algorithmssupport for industry research. Meanwhile, the results of this research have a high valueon application by integrating in the sub-systems software of ecological environmentproducts, which is worked by the research team in the Institute of Remote Sensing Applications.
