Research Of Methods Of FLS Project Cost Management

With the development of manufacturing industry in China, the competition amongenterprises has become increasingly fierce, and obviously, the price is the key to win.Therefore, in this case, the cost management plays a particularly important role. As one ofthe core content of project management, project cost management is closely related to thesuccess of the whole. It exerts its influence on the cost reduction, the cost control, and thecompletion of projects within time and budget. What’s more, it also provides a goodreference for the daily operation and management activities of enterprises. Quality,delivery and cost are the three most important elements of project management, which arethe indispensable factors to judge the success of a project.In this paper, the author tries to take FLS, a customization project based company, asthe research object, applying the relevant theory and reference in this respect, analyzing thecurrent situation and the existing problems of its project cost management, and exploresappropriate solutions to improve the efficiency of project cost management for FLS.The paper points out that effective project cost management exist in three stages: costestimation in the pre-offer, the implementation, and statistical analysis after the project.The inaccurate cost estimation may lead to the final loss of the project, while the statisticalanalysis after the project can provide valuable experience for the future similar projects towork out a competitive offer.Through this research, the author hopes to accumulate some helpful experience in theproject cost management field for FLS, and also provide a reference for other enterprises.
