Venture firm is a kind of corporation which has high technologies and high-techproducts. Compare with traditional corporations, venture firms can develop quickly aslong as new technology is developed. As result, venture firms can obtain enormouseconomic benefits. At the same time, the society will benefit from the success ofventure firms. But the corn has two sides. Those firms always run with high revenueas well as high risks. During the development of venture firms, the firms need lots ofmoney. Venture investment arises at the historic moment and it plays an importantrole in the development of venture firms. With the development of venture firms,venture investors and shareholders regard the accuracy of enterprise performance asimportant. But evaluations of performance of venture firms are rare at home andabroad. Most of studies are about the evaluation of the venture project. In this paper, Iwill study at the evaluation about performance of venture firms.In this paper, studies on enterprise performance evaluation at home and abroadare firstly reviewed. In the second part of the paper, definition of venture firms,venture development and relevant theoretical basis on corporate performanceevaluation are elaborated. This is the base of venture firms’ performance evaluationindex system. In the third part, venture firms performance evaluation index systemwill be set up. The paper will study factors which affect the corporate performancefrom five aspects, the management ability, technology level, market environment, riskeffect, and financial benefits. Finally, this paper introduces the principle of integratedanalytic hierarchy process and the main steps, and each index weight was obtained byanalytic hierarchy process. In the fourth part, the paper the paper analyses about84venture enterprises. At last, the article carried on detailed analysis on the result.
