| The county economy is the basic unit of national economy, and it has an important role in improving the level of regional modernization. County economic differences is a widespread social and economic phenomenon, and moderate differences can stimulate regional economic development, and then achieve an overall balanced economic development by "diffusion effect". While if the difference is too large, it will produce a series of negative effects on the economic and social development, and hinder the regional economic development. Under new situations and circumstances, Gansu county economic development shows a lot of discord, which affects the process of building a well-off society.Based on regional economic theories, this article studys on Gansu county economic differences and their spatial pattern changes from1998to2010year. Firstly, this article introduces regional economic theories. Secondly, this article uses statistical analysis software SPSS17.0to analyse69counties of Gansu Province in1998,2002,2006and2010years by building a comprehensive index system, then ranks them, and divides them into four different economic development levels. Finally, this article uses ARCGIS10.1software to visualize the spatial pattern of regional economic differences in Gansu province, and analyses the causes of county economic differences in Gansu province.Through the study we found:the level of county economy in Gansu province is weak, and presents polarization; differences between the East and west of Gansu is obvious, and the developed county are concentrated in Hexi Region and Longzhong Region; backward counties concentrates in East Region of Gansu and South Region of Gansu; the spatial pattern is relatively stable, and the East Region of Gansu has an obvious progress; differences in natural conditions and natural resources, fixed assets investment, policy and industrial structure are the major cause of county economic differences in Gansu province. |
