| The dissertation of my thesis is about the Chinese Small and Medium Enterprises performance in case of external shocks and stresses from the international financial market given structural weaknesses and the related governmental policies. The structural weaknesses of the this sector of Chinese economies come from the financial structure and affect the Small and Medium Enterprises credit access capability while the external shocks are caused by regional and global financial crisis. The academic relevance of this thesis resides in the fundamental contribution of Small and Medium Enterprises to Chinese economy growth and development as well as Chinese society harmonious development and the importance of Chinese government policies in supporting this sector and alleviating the consequences of external shocks. I base my thesis on academic and data analysis. Given the difficulties of pure data analysis in China I will mostly refer to evidences from previous academic researches. Due to the recentness of the topic I base my conclusions also on news information and interviews. The result of my research is that Chinese government, although enacted effective policies for the general economy on the short run, failed to solve structural problems and external shock’s influence on Small and Medium Enterprises. |
