As the No:1car manufacturing groupin Jilin Province, the First Automobile Works is in a dominant position in therevitalization of old industrial bases in northeast china, at the same time, as one ofthe pillar industries in Jilin Province, the group also carries the heavy burden of JilinProvince’s economic rise and fall. So, what are the advantages and disadvantages ofautomobile industry in Jilin Province in the road of international development? Howabout its international competitiveness? How to avoid weaknesses in theinternational development process? All the questions above are what we are going todiscuss.To solve the questions above,firstly, the research status of internationalcompetitiveness of auto industry at home and abroad of recent years were counted; then we defined the definition of industrial competitiveness and the industrialinternational competitiveness; thirdly, we conducted a statistical analysis on theresearch methods of international competitiveness of industry. Finally, we put thecombination of qualitative and quantitative, the SWOT analysis and principalcomponent analysis to use to give a comprehensive evaluation of the internationalcompetitiveness of the auto industry in Jilin Province.Through evaluation, we draw the conclusion the ranking of the internationalcompetitiveness of the automotive industry in Jilin Province in the domesticadvanced provinces, as well as the comparison conclusions with the internationaladvanced Automotive Group, and then specific countermeasures and suggestionswere given according to the analysis results. Through this study, I believe that theinternational development road is an inevitable choice for every business’s growthand development.
