| With science and technology developed rapidly, and thecompetition of the market continued fiercely, the management ofsupply chain has become the core strategic competition resources ofenterprise. Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) generated in the1980s, now has been implemented successfully by more and moreenterprises. VMI is one of the strategies of supply chain inventorycontrol, inventory demand forecasting and inventory decisions inthe supply chain both upstream and downstream linked by iteffectively, strengthen the information sharing and mutualcooperation in both sides of supply and demand, inhibited theproblems in the traditional inventory management, such asasymmetric information, the forecast deviation, the long lead time,higher inventory costs, with a systematic, integrated managementthought of control, and promote the entire supply chain synchronization and efficient operation.Perishable products exists in the daily life widely, which hasover time with deterioration, decayã€evaporationã€expiredã€invalidã€depreciation, such as foods〠medicine〠popular goods and ITproducts. In our country, there is a great increasing on a variety ofperishable goods consumption, because of the life cycle ofperishable products are short, and vulnerable to deterioration in thetransport and storage, resulting in a serious waste of socialresources. This feature has become an important factor to affect theoperating profit of perishable goods, therefore, strengthening itsinventory control has great significance in order to regulate thesupply and demand effectively. However, inventory control forperishable goods lagged behind the study of non-perishableinventory control in the current academic, it is difficult to producethe actual operation of guiding significance.In view of this, in this article, in order to perishable products as the object of study, to research perishable goods inventoryproblem of these two aspects in VMI environment, which is at thedemand is constant and the demand is in line with the function ofthe distribution. Through literature analysis, using the theory ofperishable, and inventory management theory and methods, to studyperishable inventory control problem in vendor managementinventory mode, research results are as follows:First of all, the paper made a comprehensive overview for thecurrent situation of domestic and foreign to perishable productinventory control; Secondly, the paper studied the perishableinventory control problem in the VMI environment, elaborated thegoals and content of the problem of inventory control in VMIenvironment by supplier, and the cost in inventory control problems;Thirdly, in both two cases based on the demand is constant anddemand obedience function distribution, constructed perishableinventory control model in VMI environment respectively; Finally, based on constructing the model of empirical analysis, and foundthe conclusions on perishable goods inventory control to suppliershas a guiding significance. |
