With the rapid development of China’s insurance market, non-life insurance companies’assets and liabilities are increasing. Property insurance company’s premium income reached461.8billion Yuan in2011, which seemed enormous and need to manage properly.China’s non-life insurance companies have developed for a short time and are not ripe for asset-liability technology and have many restriction factors. China’s non-life insurance companies will need a more effective means if they are to respond to the huge challenges thrown up by its future development, so how to manage the assets and liabilities effectively is becoming an important topic.The paper has worked out the methods of China’s non-life insurance companies systematically through the study of theories related and puts forward countermeasures for each business line combining with the asset-liability technology,Thus representing for them a direction.Chapter1has put forward the thinking, the frame and the goal of this paper, Meanwhile, it has also done a brief summary and analysis to the domestic status quo, exhibiting the main developments of the theory of asset-liability management, so as to assure the advancement of research.Basic theory of asset-liability management are introduced systematically in Chapter2,including basic content, techniques, modeling process and forecast problems, which contains almost theories about asset-liability management, aiming at establishing the theoretical foundation for the ensuing chapters.To undertake above, Chapter3discusses the basic content of financial planning of non-life insurance company and furthermore introduces the most advanced asset-liability management techniques——dynamical financial analysis (DFA)Chapter4first introduces the asset-liability management about auto insurance and property business line taking a property insurance company, and then testing its management strategy, finding out the best one to suit it. The fifth part is epilogue, a conclusion of this paper. In addition to concluding marks, this part also gives the expectation for the non-life insurance company.The maximum value for this article is that it not only discusses asset-liability management in theory thoroughly, but also focuses on the situation of non-life insurance company’s different line management in the way of empirical research, so it has very powerful practical application value. More specifically, company managers can obtain important information from the analysis of the asset-liability, which assists them to find problems and formulate a realistic strategy for the company. The main inadequacy of this article is the limitations of empirical research methods, lack of enough factors, which the accuracy of results can be affected on some level. On DFA analysis, it is not comprehensive and only explores some aspects of the problem. Also the conclusions reached should be further verified.With the innovation of theories and increased experience, the ability of asset-liability management of non-life insurance company can be improved and will play an increasingly important role in the future.
