| With the rapid development of modern commodity economy, the market requires better logistics services of goods transportation, storage and distribution. From traditional warehouse to Large-scale distribution center, the change of logistic companies is the exact satisfaction to the market demand. Because of adopting advanced logistic management and technology, the distribution center creates the max economic benefits by coordinating company’s own sources and collecting all advantages in each supply chain. The order-picking assignment of the distribution center is always a program with the highest degree in labor intensity, especially for the retails e-business industry. It is becoming more and more difficult to operate the order-picking activities, not only because of the large number of good items but also tens of thousands of orders needing to be distributed every day.The thesis aims at making a further analysis and study on the process of order-picking assignment of retail e-business industry’s distribution center. At first, it gives some introductions to the basic functions of the logistic distribution center and some theories on the order-picking. The thesis also analyses the operation conditions in S company’s distribution center and the management problems through the order-picking. It focuses the exhaustive analysis on S company’s current problems, like the bad layout of its functional zone, the indeterminacy of its goods classification, the chaos of its storage management, the different batch strategy for its orders and the selection of walking path. Pointing at S company’s order-picking, then the thesis analyses the orders data of the distribution center by using the new EIQ analysis technique, and raises some optimization strategies through the EIQ results and some management theories. It exactly confirms some theories’ applicability for the retail industry’s distribution center, and it provides some conferences to improve other e-business enterprises’ distribution center. |
